intu Derby student night: my experience and my bargains!

I’ve been working full time for a little over a year now, and I mourn my old student life almost everyday. Not because I enjoyed school or college. In fact, that couldn’t be further from the truth. I miss being a student because they get some awesome discounts. So when I was invited along to the intu Derby student night I jumped at the chance! I do get the odd 10% off here and there with my NUS Apprentice card. However the brands at intu Derby student night were offering up to 50% discounts! And that, my friends, is music to my…

My first charity shop shopping spree at LOROS

I’m gonna be honest, I’ve never really been into charity shop shopping. I used to pop into one or two every now and then but I could never find anything decent. I couldn’t be bothered to trawl through the rubbish to find the hidden gems that I’d heard so much about. My friend Charlotte (from Discovering Charlotte and Shoestring Chic) absolutely loves charity shops. So a couple of weeks ago she introduced me and Kirstie (from Behind the Scent) to the world of charity shop shopping. LOROS have 28 shops across Leicestershire and Rutland but Charlotte showed us round the store on…

Papergang box #6: marble & copper dreams

I’m honestly ashamed at how late this post is. In fact, it won’t be too long until I receive my next Papergang box, so I’d better get this one out of the way first! The theme for this Papergang box is marble, so basically the typical blogger’s dream from what I’ve heard. It’s not necessarily my dream though, so I was kinda sceptical about this box. But, believe it or not, I was actually pleasantly surprised! Probably because the first thing I took out of the box was this beautiful notebook. It doesn’t matter how many notebooks I buy, if…

Ten heavenly chocolate milkshakes you need to try

Happy chocolate milkshake day! I hope you don’t mind but I’m beginning the celebrations a tad early. It’s not actually chocolate milkshake day until Monday. But I thought I would get into the spirit of things by sharing with you my top ten chocolate milkshakes. I haven’t always been a big milkshake lover. In fact, my love for milkshakes only blossomed when I hit my teens which (despite how I feel) wasn’t that long ago. Some of my top milkshakes can be found all over the UK so don’t be upset if you don’t live in the East Midlands like…

Monthly highlights: August 2016

This post was originally supposed to be a favourites post. However, favourites posts are usually more about belongings than experiences. So I thought highlights would be a better word to use to title a post with a blend of both. I’ve never done a post like this before so let me know what you think! M&S chipotle new potato salad with coriander and spring onion No joke, this stuff is heavenly. I feel like I haven’t stopped eating it all month but at the same time I can’t get enough of the stuff! It’s part of their Spirit of Summer range…
