Monthly highlights: May 2017

Last month was a busy one! So busy in fact that I forgot to list my highlights as I went along so I had to have a bit of a brainstorm last week to remember what I’d been up to. Hopefully I’ve remembered everything! Gig tickets May was a very expensive month for me. To be honest, I’m still trying to come to terms with just how much money I’ve spent! It doesn’t matter though because I spent it on some amazing experiences that I can’t wait to have in a few months time. I’ve been waiting for the Impractical…

The sassiest pink biker jacket you will ever see

A couple of weeks ago someone shared a link on Twitter to the dreamiest lilac biker jacket I’ve ever seen. In fact it was probably one of the only lilac biker jackets I’ve ever seen. I’ve never been brave enough to jump on the bold biker jacket bandwagon so I wasn’t serious about buying it. That was until I fell head-over-heels in love with the raspberry pink one. Monthly highlights: April 2017

April was one of the best months I’ve had in a long time! As always, it was a busy month but it was a wonderful month. There’s lots to mention, from muffins to pretty dresses, so let’s make a start. Jordan’s birthday April was Jordan’s birthday month so we celebrated by visiting his favourite restaurant, Turtle Bay. It’s a little spicy for me so it’s not my favourite but Jordan loves it there. I ordered the pulled pork toastie with sweet potato fries and, despite the spice, I loved it. It says on the menu that it’s great for lunch or…

Bodega, Derby: The press party

Bodega have been on my radar now for a while. I’d heard wonderful things about their restaurant in Leicester as a few of my friends had been and written about it. But the thing is, I don’t visit Leicester very often so I’ve always missed out. Until now! A few months ago (I think I was on my way to The Orange Tree) I noticed that Bodega was opening soon in Derby. There were some posters up in an empty restaurant at the bottom of Sadler Gate. Honestly at the time I thought to myself “I wonder if they’ll put on…

Monthly highlights: March 2017

March was probably one of the best months I’ve had in a long time. I had a few days off work so I had some time for myself, my boyfriend and my family. Here’s just a few of the things I was loving throughout March and what I got up to! Saturday off shopping spree I think it was the first Saturday in March when I had the day off work. It felt like forever since I’d been out and really treated myself so that’s exactly what I did. I didn’t spend too much, mostly because I took a basket full into the Primark…
