Monthly highlights: June 2017

I feel like I always open my monthly highlights posts in exactly the same way. June was a busy month and, as usual, there’s a lot to mention. My June highlights include music, food and just general bits and bobs. It’s a mixed bag but if you’re a regular reader over here then you’ll know that already! Let’s get started, shall we? One Love Manchester benefit concert I’m sure almost everyone has seen at least some of the One Love Manchester benefit concert that took place early in June. I watched the whole thing from start to finish and it…

Exploring Paradise Island Adventure Golf at intu Derby

A few weeks ago I was kindly invited to explore the new Paradise Island Adventure Golf located within intu Derby’s new multi-million pound entertainment complex. The complex had been on my radar long before it was even being constructed! I read about it in a local newspaper and thought it was exactly what Derby was crying out for. Last month was a busy one! So busy in fact that I forgot to list my highlights as I went along so I had to have a bit of a brainstorm last week to remember what I’d been up to. I’ve never been brave enough to jump on the bold biker jacket bandwagon so I wasn’t serious about buying it. That was until I fell head-over-heels in love with the raspberry pink one. It looked gorgeous online but it’s one of those colours where you can’t be 100% sure what it’s like unless you see it in person. So when I went into Nottingham on…

Monthly highlights: April 2017

April was one of the best months I’ve had in a long time! As always, it was a busy month but it was a wonderful month. There’s lots to mention, from muffins to pretty dresses, so let’s make a start. Jordan’s birthday April was Jordan’s birthday month so we celebrated by visiting his favourite restaurant, Turtle Bay. It’s a little spicy for me so it’s not my favourite but Jordan loves it there. I ordered the pulled pork toastie with sweet potato fries and, despite the spice, I loved it. It says on the menu that it’s great for lunch or…
