Monthly highlights: March 2017

March was probably one of the best months I’ve had in a long time. I had a few days off work so I had some time for myself, my boyfriend and my family. Here’s just a few of the things I was loving throughout March and what I got up to!

Saturday off shopping spree

I think it was the first Saturday in March when I had the day off work. It felt like forever since I’d been out and really treated myself so that’s exactly what I did. I didn’t spend too much, mostly because I took a basket full into the Primark fitting rooms and literally nothing fit me properly. However I did get myself a new bag, a couple of pairs of shoes and a gorgeous dress (more about that later!).

BBs sticky toffee muffin

I might as well rename my monthly highlights post to my monthly BBs appreciation post. BBs gets a mention round here literally all the time. I’ve loved the BBs sticky toffee muffin for a good couple of months now. I don’t know how they bake them but they’re just so damn delicious! It can get a little sickly but not too much so I definitely recommend that you try it.

Hair cut

Okay please don’t judge me! This one might sound a little weird to most of you but to me it is very important. I love my hair but when it needs a cut it really needs a cut! Because I was working pretty much non-stop I didn’t have chance to do anything with it but last month I did. Short hair is beautiful but it’s so high maintenance! That doesn’t mean I don’t love it though.

Spending time with my best friend

My boyfriend’s little sister is quite literally my best friend. She is the most fun-loving and beautiful little girl in the world and I love her with all of my heart. Believe it or not the last time I saw her was New Year’s Eve. I just didn’t have the time to see her but in March we managed to spend some time together. We had lots of play time, lots of giggles and lots of cuddles too.

Spending time with my other best friend

My boyfriend’s little sister is my best friend but of course my boyfriend is too! This month our relationship has blossomed again. We’ve barely seen each other since November when I started juggling two retail jobs but this month we’ve spent loads of time together! We’ve been out for a meal and had a couple of lazy nights in, things that we haven’t done in months! It’s been wonderful to spend some time with him again.

The queen of bargain hunting

I mentioned that I bought a gorgeous dress on my shopping spree earlier in the month. Well it wasn’t just a gorgeous dress, it was also half price! Plus I needed a size smaller than what I would normally buy so that was a good feeling! It’s a khaki green shirt dress from M&S, a style that I never thought would suit me! I also picked up another bargain from M&S but not during my shopping spree. I managed to bag a pair of relaxed skinny jeans for just £3! Also a size smaller than I would normally buy! Wahoo!

Leave me a comment and let me know what you did last month. Did you have a special day out or was there something in particular that you loved during March? I’d love to hear your March highlights!

It sounds like March was a wonderful month for you (and I hope despite the lack of posting that April has treated you well too!)

Ooh, I love a good shirt dress! Sounds gorgeous. I’m glad you got to spend some proper time with your boyfriend and his little sister too- it’s hard when you’re working so much. Will you do a haul post from your shopping trip? X

I wish I had now Sarah! I got so much stuff, it would have made a great post. Never mind, just an excuse to go on another shopping spree I guess! x
