A couple of weeks ago someone shared a link on Twitter to the dreamiest lilac biker jacket I’ve ever seen. In fact it was probably one of the only lilac biker jackets I’ve ever seen.
I’ve never been brave enough to jump on the bold biker jacket bandwagon so I wasn’t serious about buying it. That was until I fell head-over-heels in love with the raspberry pink one.
It looked gorgeous online but it’s one of those colours where you can’t be 100% sure what it’s like unless you see it in person. So when I went into Nottingham on Bank Holiday Monday I made a special trip to New Look to hunt it out.
Spoiler alert! It’s even more gorgeous in person.
It’s made from a ridiculously soft faux-suede material and fits like a glove. The shade of pink is quite unique. I can’t think of any other way to describe it than raspberry pink. It’s not bubblegum, it’s not fuchsia, it’s raspberry.
I mentioned this black and white gingham smock dress from Primark in my latest monthly highlights post. I wanted to do an outfit of the day a few weeks ago when the weather was nice but I didn’t get chance. Now I’m glad I didn’t because this jacket works so beautifully with it!
I matched the dress and the biker jacket with my trusty Dr. Martens shoes that I’ve had forever. I wear them with countless outfits and they’re super comfortable, I don’t know what I’d do without them to be honest. I’d link to them but I don’t think they’re available anymore. Sorry!
And, please, can we take a moment to appreciate how beautiful my bag is? It caught my eye when I was wandering through House of Fraser and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. If you’re anything like me then you know that means it’s the one for you so I splashed out a lil’ bit and treated myself.
That was quite a while ago now, it’s first mention was in my March monthly highlights post. It’s from Dune, who are probably known best for their gorgeous shoes, but it turns out they do gorgeous bags too. It’s in the sale so if you’re interested then you’d better snap it up while you can! You can have a closer look here.
My sunglasses are one of the best things I’ve ever bought. Believe me, that’s no exaggeration. They’re River Island’s finest from a couple of years ago and I think they’re the perfect size and shape for my face. In my opinion you simply cannot beat a classic cat-eye. I’d love to splash out on a designer pair but I don’t think I’ll get anything better than these!
I personally think that River Island have some of the best sunglasses on the high street. They’re value for money, that’s for sure! Check out their full range and see what you like, they’ve got something to suit everyone.
I’ve tried to do outfit posts before but they’ve always been a bit awkward. I’m really happy with how these pictures turned out. I feel like I look happy and confident and that’s how I feel too!
Let me know in the comments what your favourite part of my outfit is. Do you love my raspberry pink biker jacket as much as I do?
