Ten heavenly chocolate milkshakes you need to try

Happy chocolate milkshake day! I hope you don’t mind but I’m beginning the celebrations a tad early. It’s not actually chocolate milkshake day until Monday. But I thought I would get into the spirit of things by sharing with you my top ten chocolate milkshakes. I haven’t always been a big milkshake lover. In fact, my love for milkshakes only blossomed when I hit my teens which (despite how I feel) wasn’t that long ago. Some of my top milkshakes can be found all over the UK so don’t be upset if you don’t live in the East Midlands like…

Maybe I was wrong about Krispy Kreme!

A few months ago I wrote about how I don’t like Krispy Kreme doughnuts. It’s been one of my most popular posts so far and I’ve received lots of lovely comments suggesting that I give Krispy Kreme another shot. I never wrote the post in the hope that people would convince me to give them another try. However, in the end, that’s how it turned out so I thought it would be wrong for me not to. Most people recommended that I try an original glazed doughnut rather than one of the fancy ones with toppings and fillings. The glazed Krispy…

My bacon, mushroom and Tenderstem® cheesy pasta bake

A couple of weeks ago I received an email from Tenderstem® asking me whether I’d be interested in coming up with an interesting recipe idea. Tenderstem® is basically broccoli crossed with Chinese kale. It’s sweeter than traditional broccoli and, as you’ve probably guessed, the stems are much softer so you can eat it whole rather than chop them off. At first I was doubtful whether to take them up on the offer because, I’ll be honest, I’m not a great cook but I thought I might as well give it a go and try doing something new. I didn’t have anything to…

#DerbyBloggersBrunch – my first ever blogger meet up!

So today I went to my first ever blogger meet up. It was the #DerbyBloggersBrunch organised by the lovely Monet from Munching With Monet. It took place at The Cosy Club in Derby, one of the latest exciting new restaurants to open up in the city centre. I’d never been before but I’d heard and read great things about it so I couldn’t wait to try it for myself, as well as meet a great bunch of local bloggers. I got to the meet a little early because I really didn’t want to be the last one there, I don’t know…

Lunch at Barburrito

This weekend me and Jordan went to Barburrito in Nottingham, like we do almost every weekend. We love it there! It’s burrito paradise. So I thought to myself, why have I never told you about it? Well to be honest I don’t know and this post is long overdue, believe me. Barburrito have restaurants in London, Manchester, Cardiff, Gateshead, Leeds, Liverpool and Nottingham and the menu includes classic Mexican goodies like burritos (obviously!), nachos and churros. It’s kinda like the Subway of Mexican food. You choose your rice, beans, salsa and filling and anything else you’d like so it’s completely customisable…
