Rush Hair, Nottingham: exclusive VIP night

A few weeks ago (read: three months ago) I was very kindly invited to the exclusive VIP pre-opening of the new Rush hair salon in Nottingham city centre. Nottingham isn’t the nearest city to me, however it is my favourite city in my local area so I was super excited! I arrived early but, luckily for me, a few other people did too so I got the chance to say hello and introduce myself before we went inside. My first impressions were fantastic! The place was spotless. There were tons of products stacked on the shelves and each one was perfectly…

intu Derby’s autumn/winter fashion event: the goody bags!

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about intu Derby’s autumn/winter fashion event and now I’m gonna tell you lovely lot all about the incredible goody bags we received. I’m not gonna lie, I love goody bags. Once I spent £10 in Tiger on stuff that I didn’t need just so I could get a goody bag at the till. Anyway, let’s move on. I was overwhelmed to say the least when the lovely intu staff handed us our goody bags because we had not one, but two goody bags each! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and…

intu Derby’s autumn/winter fashion event

A few weeks ago I received an invitation to the intu Derby autumn/winter fashion event. I’ve got to admit, I’d already had a sneak peek at what was to come! I’d seen some of the shows at the intu Victoria Centre in Nottingham the week before so I knew that they’d be fantastic. The Orange Tree Derby launch night

Alcohol isn’t generally my thing. Unless it’s a Malibu and orange juice, then it’s 100% my thing. However when I received an invitation to The Orange Tree launch night in Derby I thought well why not? I brought my boyfriend Jordan along and we got into town nice and early. Early enough, in fact, that we had time for pizza and curly fries (classy, I know). The event was due to start at 7pm so we got there near enough bang on time. There wasn’t many people around and the door was closed so at first we were kinda confused. Turns out there were…

intu Derby student night: my experience and my bargains!

I’ve been working full time for a little over a year now, and I mourn my old student life almost everyday. Not because I enjoyed school or college. In fact, that couldn’t be further from the truth. I miss being a student because they get some awesome discounts. So when I was invited along to the intu Derby student night I jumped at the chance! I do get the odd 10% off here and there with my NUS Apprentice card. However the brands at intu Derby student night were offering up to 50% discounts! And that, my friends, is music to my…
