I’ve realised something about Instagram

I’ve been working on my blog photography (or at least trying to find the time to) for a long time. For me, it’s a slow process. I compare my blog and my photography to other people’s. Not in a bad way, I compare in a positive way because I compare myself to the people I’d like to be like one day. During the summer last year I decided that I needed to improve my photography. I wanted to be able to take the clean crisp images that other bloggers could. I bought a nice camera and thought of some props that…

My festive photo diary: York, December 2016

Get your crackers out, shove a turkey in the oven and put your party hats on. It’s time to get Christmassy! That’s right, prepare to feel the Christmas spirit.  Yes I’m aware that Christmas was nearly two months ago now but just hang in there and I’ll explain. Monthly highlights: January 2017

It’s been quite a while since I’ve done a good old-fashioned monthly highlights post. Honestly, I’ve missed writing these. Sometimes it feels like the months fly by without me stopping for a moment to think about what I’ve done. So that’s what I’m gonna do now. Sit back and relax folks, it’s been a busy month! Fifteen of my favourite things

I recently read a post by one of my good friends and fave bloggers Emmie from Carpe Diem Emmie all about fifteen of her favourite things. She took inspiration from an article in a magazine so I thought I’d take a bit of inspiration from her and share fifteen of my favourite things. Takeaway treat My ultimate takeaway treat has to be Domino’s pizza. I usually order the House Special Roast Chicken because it is literally what pizza dreams are made of but I always order the stuffed crust. Pizza with a normal crust is obviously delicious, but a stuffed crust just takes…

Rush Hair, Nottingham: exclusive VIP night

A few weeks ago (read: three months ago) I was very kindly invited to the exclusive VIP pre-opening of the new Rush hair salon in Nottingham city centre. Nottingham isn’t the nearest city to me, however it is my favourite city in my local area so I was super excited! I arrived early but, luckily for me, a few other people did too so I got the chance to say hello and introduce myself before we went inside. My first impressions were fantastic! The place was spotless. There were tons of products stacked on the shelves and each one was perfectly…
